ATLAS PRO MAGNUM has engineered and developed a lowered custom built precision WIDE DRIVE chassis for those Harley® enthusiasts who wish to run a big rear tire on your Softail® along with keeping the rear belt drive. The Atlas chassis kit will accept  a 180 X 18 rear tire using a 5.5 rim with stock width belt of 200 tire with a 1 1/8 belt or chain drive. By widening out our swing arm and axel width and moving the motor and transmission to the left we have achieved a great ride with no shifting to the left. The balance point is unaffected as the offset is minimal. Atlas has been doing this in our drag frames for over 38 years.

• ATLAS Pro Magnum 250 WIDE DRIVE Custom Softail Motorcycle CHASSIS KIT

This frame is set up to take a 250 tire on an 8.5 rim (10 wide) with stock 2000 belt and a 70 tooth pulley combination. A shorter belt 130 tooth will be needed if you use a 65 tooth rear pulley. The 250 chassis is set up to take 89 thru 99 Softail® shocks and belt guard. They are also set up to take the pre-2000 Softail® seat mount custom fender struts 89-99  Softail® forward controls Evo® Fat-Bob tank mounts or a custom tank application. Custom brake application is required. The frame utilizes a top mount oil tank such as the Atlas center fill winged plain steel oil tank that is custom fitted to contour with the side plates of the frame. Oil tanks come with top and rear mounting brackets. Several kit packages are available from the basic frame to a complete rolling chassis kit. This Big Gun chassis will take up to a 250 tire in the rear with stock rear belt 1-1/2in or 300 tire with chain drive.

Atlas recommends you use the Baker Right Side Drive transmission on this frame which allows the motor/transmission to be centered. In order to run the belt drive you will
need to run a stock transmission plate and 1/2 offset primary spacer ring. This allows  the belt to run closer to the tire and allows more belt to frame clearance. When using
a chain drive setup no offset spacer is required. The frames are set to take a 1in rear axle which is highly recommended for the side of rear tire. It is highly recommended you use the Top Mount Atlas Winged Oil Tank for this chassis. You may run a standard FXST type oil tank however a modification to the right side of  the oil tank will be required for belt clearance.

This frame is not a stock replacement frame for the Twin Cam B® motor and transmission but in fact is a fully custom chassis kit. The frame is set up to take a 200 tire on a 6 rim (8 wide) with stock 2000 Softail® belt and 70 tooth rear pulley combination. A shorter belt (130 tooth) will be needed if you use a 65 tooth rear pulley. The Dyna® Dragon Swing Arm Chassis for Single and Twin Cam A® engines is not a stock replacement frame for stock Dyna Models. This frame will take a top tube stretch of 3in maximum and a front leg stretch of 4in with any neck rake. The frame takes all stock OEM Dyna® front rear and top motor mounts. The frame is set up with Softail seat mounts and uses a custom seat stock OEM swing arm bearings and pivot assembly. You can use your stock OEM axel and adjusters or use the Atlas custom axle adjusters. The frame uses the 412 series gas shocks 12in which gives you a 6in frame to ground clearance and 4 1/2in oil pan to to ground clearance. The swing arm requires the use of the atlas custom rear caliper and hanger kit not stock. A stock Dyna® belt guard may be used. The frame takes a 180 rear tire with stock Dyna belt 200 with Harley® 1 1/8in belt or chain drive. Sportster Wide Drive 180 Softail Chassis. The Wide Drive chassis kit for Sporsters® will accept a 180/55 X 18 rear tire on a 5.5 rim. The frame accepts all Evo® and Ironhead® Sportster motors from 1979 to present. This chassis kit is also available for Buell® motors. The neck is set up to take 1in Timken bearings and 3/4in diameter axle and disc brakes. When running the Buell® rear wheel the rear section will be set up for a 1in axel. To run this chassis you must be shifting on the left and braking on the right with disk brake in the rear. If you are tearing down a Sportster you can use the front end front wheel tank or tanks motor/tranny wiring harness pulleys rear brakes etc. You cannot use your oil tank as this frame requires a special Atlas tank or custom tank you fabricate yourself as the Big Twin® tank is too large and the stock Sportster® tank is too small. If you are tearing down a Sportster you can use the front end front wheel tank or tanks motor/tranny wiring harness pulleys rear brakes etc. You cannot use your oil tank as this frame requires a special Atlas tank or custom tank you fabricate yourself as the Big Twin® tank is too large and the stock Sportster® tank is too small. The rear section is set up for the wide tire so you will need a special fender fender struts tire and wheel. You can also use your stock rear wheel but you will have to get a stock Softail® rear fender and solid fender struts. The frame can be set up for late Sportster® gas tank mounts Evo® Fat Bob® tank mounts or custom fuel tank application 89 and later Softail shock mount early Sportster® kickstand or Big Twin® forward control mounts. Atlas also recommends that you run the Atlas Offset Sprocket or Pulley and the Atlas Support Plate with bearing to accomodate the 250 tire. The 250 Wide Drive chassis kit for Sporsters will accept a 250 rear tire on an 8.5 rim. The frame accepts 5 Speed Evo® Sportster® motors only. This chassis kit is also available for Buell® motors. This is the Sportster® version of our Roadrunner rigid chassis. The Atlas Coyote comes with any neck rake and stretch Evo® tank mounts or straight top tube for custom tank application or Sporty tank mounts. 1.) Wheels, Rotors, Pulley: Your Selection Of RC Component Wheels, Rotors, and Pulleys Can Be Viewed Here. You will need to know which setup you desire when you Click to Configure  your rolling chassis.
2.) Fat Katz Tank: We will select the tank appropriate for your top tube stretch on the frame. You or your local shop will have to weld the tabs in place on the frame to mount this tank.
3.) Kickstand - When you configure your chassis, we will review the order carefully to insure you get the right kickstand based on neck rake, stretch, tire size, etc.
4.) Rear Fender Support - Altas does not make a grab rail or sissybar for the 11in fender or larger fender required for tires over 250 wide. You will either need to purchase our 9in fender struts (for solo applications only) and mounting tabs (which you will have to weld to the frame) or design another solution for rear fender support.
